Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat
- Add onion and cook until softened, about 4 minutes
- Add garlic and cook 1 minute
- Add ground beef, break apart, and brown until no pink remains
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, Italian seasoning, and sugar
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Season with salt and pepper
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain
- Serve sauce over spaghetti with parmesan
Notes
- Longer simmer time makes a richer sauce
- Sauce freezes well for up to 3 months
