French Toast

Ingredients
- 4 slices thick-cut bread
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp butter
- Maple syrup for serving
Instructions
- Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a shallow dish
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat
- Dip each bread slice in the egg mixture, coating both sides
- Cook on skillet until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side
- Serve with maple syrup
Notes
- Brioche or challah bread works best
- Let bread stale overnight for better absorption
