Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients
- 2 slices bread or 1 english muffin
- 2 strips bacon
- 1 egg
- 1 slice american or cheddar cheese
- Butter for the pan
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, set aside on a paper towel
- Pour off most of the bacon grease, add a small pat of butter
- Crack egg into the skillet, season with salt and pepper
- Cook to desired doneness -- over easy or over medium works best
- Toast the bread or english muffin
- Layer cheese, egg, and bacon on the bread
- Close and serve immediately
Notes
- Break the yolk for easier eating on the go
- Add hot sauce or ketchup to taste
